Dreamweaver has always worked great using Crossover, until now. After installing SuSE 10.0 I installed Crossover and then Dreamweaver. Everything worked fine until i tried to connect to my websites.

Dreamweaver connects to the site but hangs prior to finalizing the connection- after showing "Retrieving remote folder information for...." for a few seconds it then shows "Waiting for server...." until this eventually times out.

It does this on multiple sites. I tried installing it in a number of different ways, all with the same result. Dreamweaver 4 does the same thing.

KBear connects no problem using the same settings.

Two thoughts. One, could you have missed something during the installation of Dreamweaver, like MDAC? Second, have you tried using passive mode FTP in the Dreamweaver site setup?

I have finally come back to SuSE 10.0 and tried again with Dreamweaver MX. Unfortunately I'm getting the same results.

I've tried it with and without MDAC installed with no difference in functionality seen.

How do I choose passive mode FTP?
