Dreamweaver 8: Site Map problem with cx6.1.0, OK with Wine 0.9.40

In DW8 with Crossover 6.1.0 I have found a problem with the Site Map. In some instances the site map tree does not show. There appeared to be be a single file with heading "Site Navigation .. Untitled" & no tree. It seems to occur when there are a large number of files in the tree & seems OK with small numbers: this is just a guess.
DW8 was set up in cx in both Ubuntu Dapper & Feisty using the files from an XP installation like the instructions at:
http://virtualdreamscapes.blogspot.com/2006/11/dreamweaver-8-running-on-linux-fedora.html

This problem does not exist with the same website with wine 0.9.40 using the same set up.

I hope this is of help. Any explanation of how to overcome this problem would be welcome.

I think I've found the root of this problem.
In DW Manage Sites>Site Definitions>Advanced Check that the Local Root Folder begins with lower case "c:". An upper case "C:" is inserted by the browse command. With the "C:" the Site Map is not displayed and the home page shows as a broken link. Just change the C to c and all is well. I have confirmed that this works for Crossover 6.1.0, wine 0.9.40 by swapping the C & c several times.
Wine 0.9.40 seems a little different as the "c:My Documents" seems to be replaced with "k:" but it works fine.
Just check that there is not a capital drive letter which DW does not seem to like.

I've discovered that even after the "C:" is changed to "c:" it is reset to upper case after a system reboot and probably log off too.

I have a directory mapped to a drive letter M:. If the M appears in upper case in the Local Root Folder then the Site Map does not rebuild. As soon as I change it to lower case "m:", all is well. So it does not just apply to C: This is the case in wine 0.9.47.

However, in Crossover 6.2 the situation is the reverse. The site map rebuilds OK with an upper case letter, K: in this case, and only shows the top index file when I substitute k:. Crossover itself seems to put the upper case version letter by default.

Any explanations?
