It can work

This isn't strictly kosher but it proves that it can work - there is a crk for the trial version (you'll have to look for your self FFF is a clue)

Install trial in real Windows, patch exe, copy all folders (common files etc) to your fakewindows win98 bottle

use "Run a windows command" from menu, find the Dreamweaver.exe file and bob's your uncle.

This basically shows that it can run almost perfectly and that the only thing breaking it is the security.

Hopefully Codeweavers and Wine can come up with a way to make the authorisation security work in future releases as I really want to be able to use DW in Linux, but definitely not illegally.

hmmm... this is pretty good news. I recently purchased the entire studio 8 line... I'll have to look around for a crack and see if I can copy everything over with the crack applied. Anybody else try this successfully?

Basically youll need just the cracked dreamweaver.exe...it works great!

I did what has been said here, but after the splash screen, the program crashes.

edit: Dreamweaver just started, but when i choose "new site" I get some gray stuff instead of input fields.

Also, a lot of images do not show up.

However, it works, but it's not that great :D

I got Dreamweaver and Flash 8 to work using the FFF method.

Yeah, it can work, but full of bugs. What about the MX 2004? Can it be started like this? (maybe fewer bugs)

I managed to get DW8 working as well, apparently without any bugs. Not with the installer mind you, that still crashed horribly.

Like some other users, I have a licensed version that I installed on my old WinXP partition (I'll never delete that archive of files now!). I copied over the Program Files (x86)/Macromedia/ folder into my win2000 bottle, but kept seeing that window that my installation wasn't finished.

I downloaded the FFF crack (which wine reported as being infected with a virus, glad I'm on Linux!), and applied Crack.exe inside the Dreamweaver folder. Voila! I'm now using DW8 on my websites, downloading/publishing files, using templates, etc.

Thank you everyone, this was my final hurdle in switching to Linux, with the exception of half life. ;)

Where can i find a trial version to download for Dreamweaver?...i have no idea where to go at all..?

Where do i go to get a download wchih isnt a virus for dreamweaver...either dreamweaver 8.1 or CS3...Please HELP!
