building framesets within dreamweaver

Hi all! I am a first time user of dreamweaver, and am currently in the midsts of building a frameset for the site I created. However, I am lost on how the different content pages will work with functionality within the frameset.

Is there anyone out there that can explain to me how to do this (successfully) and in straight, up-front how to steps?
