Offering C4P files for download.

The C4P file that is offered on the site might work fine on Linux but does not work on the Mac. (I was a bit hasty with recommending that specific setting.)

So I suggest creating another Mac specific C4P file containing these files (Aric can you do this?):
It might become normal practice to create a C4p file for Mac AND Linux if there are enough differences between the two.

.NET 3.0,
DirectX Modern,
Visual C++ 2005, then 2008,
MSXML 3 then 6,
PhysX
(also Direct3D which was added to the first C4P file)
Dragon Age

Edit: Fascinating with installing the C4p file that does not work on the Mac since it gets the R6034 error
an application has made an attempt to load the C runtime library incorrectly....

But with adding C++ 2005 and MSXML 3 the error is gone. I am finding out as I installed them into the xp bottle. The game seems to run ok.

I'll get back to settings for the patch 1.04.

Hi,

The C4P system can't do this...yet....but at a hunch this would be handled by
secondary install profile (useif OSver= ) -- we do definitely need something like
this though, as in some many instances the (full)screenmode handling between OSX
and linux are very different, and we need a way to account for at least that much.

Cheers!

Thanks for the response Don!

Btw
I installed the C4p file, received the R6034 error and continued to install the 1.04 patch. The game seems to work alright now. But I am still testing it out.

So it seems I can let Aric know to also install the patch into the C4p file.
It would be nice if others tested it as well.

Edit: The install was done with the new 9.2 beta of Crossover Games.

Hi again,

If there's an addon patch, the patch itself needs to have it's own C4 entry
first before it can be included in this C4P profile. Perhaps you'd like to
submit the patch to the C4 database?

Cheers!

It has been submitted!

Thanks!

It seems the game will run just out of the box when the patch is included into the existing C4p file.

Groovy....the patch C4P profile cannot be included in this app's C4P yet, but
that functionality will be possible at some time in the future, but in any
event having the patch C4P will ease people's pain -now- and it can be included
into this app's C4P later...

Cheers!
