Dragon Age: Origins Forum

I just purchased and installed Dragon Age on my Macbook with no luck. While creating a character, I can only create a human otherwise the game crashes. After I create the character and begin the game, I get no opening cutscene or anything like that. The furthest it got without crashing was when I pressed escape to go around the opening, I got to answer some of the NPC questions but then it crashed again.

First - read the other posts here. If you had you wouldn't have had to ask.

Basically turn Detail down to low and reduce your resolution.

For no audio, there are posts for. I'm on my iPhone doom not doing the searching for you.

Thanks for trying to make me look like an idiot, but I've already read the other posts. I edited the text file to fix the sound like the forums said and it didn't solve anything. my resolution is all the way down, as well as the graphics.

no one is trying to make you look like an idiot, the fact is fixes for these issues are in the forums, tell us exactly what youve tried and how, and well see what is left or if u missed a step or something. start with the audio, then video, forget the movies they just dont play right now.

Well it's not even the movies, I hardly make it out of the character creation screen. After the first NPC interaction, I get to answer like 3 questions, then it crashes.

for graphics did you run the regedit fix? did u change the drageage.ini files for the additional vide and sound fixes?
