I had to turn "details" all the way down and now it doesn't crash for me. I didn't want to do this but crashing every 5 to 15 minutes was worse. It was either that or get too frustrated and stop playing it.
like ive mentioned in my other post, there are fixes for the graphics crashes but these must be made from source, so the devs here should be looking at the posts made over at WineHQ on the video and graphics fixes found so far and see if they can incorporate them into the next release.
we are climbing the ladder were at 24 in the top 25, so im sure soon well be getting more attention from the devs
OK. Well I switched my Nvidia 8800GT into my MP and the game runs minus movies. I have to have the graphics set to low for it to work... but it does work with the nvidia card in. Thing is... my nvidia card was replaced with the ATI4870 because it will lock up the OS occasionally...
To get it to work. I installed directX9 and legacy, .net2, and the physx, and vcrun2005 and its service pack. I had d/l'd these via winetricks and used those packages. Hey it worked. Still can't get rid of flicker on ATI card.
