About every 5 to 15 minutes (usually closer to 5 minutes) I get the following:
Program Error

I running Crossover Games "Version 8.1.3 (8.1.3)" and DragonAge1.01b (I was able to update the bottle with the Dragon Age patch). Dragon Age was installed using the physical disc and not through steam.
My hardware is a late 2009 Mac Mini (2.53 GHz Core2Duo with 4 GB of RAM) running Snow Leopard 10.6.2.
Sound was not working after the install. Thanks to "Andy" on this site the sound now works for me. He said to do the following, and it worked. "Go to "/Users/%yourusernamehere%/Documents/BioWare/Dragon Age/Settings". There should be a DragonAge.ini file in there. Open that in TextEdit. Now scroll down till you find the option:
SoundDisabled=1
If it says 1 then just change it to 0 and sound should work! If it already says 0? well your problem is something else.
I'm able to set it to 1920 x 1080 (16:9); graphic level "high", texture detail "high"; NO vertical sync, NO frame buffer effects. Those latter two HAVE to be turned off or mine crashes within a few seconds. I have sub-titles turned on. No matter what the setting, textures blink kind of like a fire does. It might do it less often at lower settings but lower settings don't stop it from crashing.
Lowering the settings really doesn't change things. The game still crashes just as often or perceived as just as often.
Cut scenes do not work. They are black. Subtitles (they are turned on) do show and once sound was fixed I do hear sound. Kevin Engle with a Linux computer says they were able to get cut scenes working but he doesn't say if it was working from the beginning or what he did to get it working.
What else would you like to know?
