You may need to be patient when launching for the first time. For me, the loading screen froze. but after 4 minutes, the game did finally load. On subsequent launches, the wait was only 1.5 minutes.
Much of the game works, but in many places text is missing, including the main menu. This makes the game not yet playable.
Disco Elysium is a relatively recent game, which has been released on Mac and runs very well. What exactly are you trying to achieve? I don't understand the point of testing the Windows release of the game on a Mac, nor making a forum post about it when your post appears to be the same as what you reported in your rating.
Sorry about that. I didn’t realize the rating comments were readable by everyone. And I see what you mean about why test a Windows release on a Mac. I did so because the game was already in the database — I thought there might be a reason. And I added the comment about the game also having a Mac release in case a reader didn’t know that. I can see how it may seem redundant.
The reason there is an entry, I would assume, is for the Linux users of Crossover where the game is not native.
Ah! That makes perfect sense. Thank you. As you can see, I’m new to CrossOver.
