Here's how to make it work

It will only install if it has "administrator privileges". In the configuration tool for Crossover, use wineconf to set the Windows type to win98. You'll need to leave it as a Windows 98 emulation - if it is set to Windows XP when Ding tries to connect, you'll get a "connection error".
