I will be evaluating this software soon (as I need it to work).
I talked to the developer of Diamond Cut and discussed this project with him. he is happy to hear about this and wants to know the results. He said he does get calls from Mac users that want to use Diamond Cut software.
So far it works in that it opens and plays files. However, I am having a compatibility issue with applying filters. That's my next area to investigate.
New update.
I used a WinXP bottle and re-installed the DC6 package. Still it will open and run audio files, but it will not apply a filter.
The DC6 software creates a .pkf file seemingly as a temp file, and so the Mac makes that file, but it kicks out an error message when it actually attempts to write the filter changes to the .pkf file.
I am stumped now and don't know how to proceed. I have sent an email to the developer informing him of the progress, maybe it's as simple as a .dll file or something easy.
I also attempted to use Darwine 0.9.53v2 and I got exactly the same results.
Any suggestions?
