Diamond 2 with WINE-CVS

Hello,

using the current WINE, which will be used for CrossOver Office 5, Diamond has even more improved -- and fortunally not regressed at all.
I'd give it a Silver rating.

Improvements:

  • Details, a richedit view, now works pretty well (except for printing -- it produces hundreds of almost empty pages); this includes displaying, including sub-/superscript and tabpostions, saving as text/RTF and copy'n'paste (text/RTF)

  • Rendering has a bit improved: Double bufferering does still not work (may crash or produces only a warning message), but normal rendering works except that it overpaints the whole window with the background colour (i.e. menus, toolbars, etc.)

  • Maybe there some printing/exporting problems with rendered object, but I don't know whether this is different on Windows.

  • One still needs to remove/disable the OPENGL32.dll which comes with newer Diamond 2.x (in a way that is a Diamond not a WINE/CXO problem)

PS: I install Diamond2 with CX4.x and use it then usually with WINE, but printing support in CX is still marginaly better so I sometimes start it using CX4. Let's see when CX5 will come out.

Note: Double buffering is not needed at all - unfortunally, it is enabled by default

rendering works except that it overpaints the whole window with the
background colour (i.e. menus, toolbars, etc.)
This should have been fixed since today in the CVS version of Wine (and probably of CXO).
