Diablo III Forum

Version 2.6.1.47710 fails to run with the message "Diablo III requires Windows 7 to run". They have been reporting for months that XP support was going to be dropped. What is the status of getting it to run under Crossover now?

I have the same problem after updated diablo 3 to 2.6.1, with CrossOver Linux 16.2.5.

I have the same problem. crossover 16.2.5 on Ubuntu 16.04. When will this be corrected?

Resolved!

Open "wine control panel",
Setup global to "Windows xp",
then set "Diablo III.exe" to "Windows 7".

Save and run the blizzard launcher.

But it is a temporary solution..

I haven't been able to get this working, even following the instructions above for a temporary solution. The game just crashes on me.

I'm having the same experience under CrossOver 17.0.0 on Ubuntu 16.04.

After created a new win10 in CrossOver 17.0.0 and reinstall battle.net & diablo 3 , I can login and play.....
