Does the script in tips and tricks still work? How exactly does one create it? Thanks.

Any text editor will do... Read one of my previous posts: http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=6277;forum=1;msg=160083#c9
Awesome, it works ... any advice on improving performance? Seems to be a little jerky no matter the settings or is that the joy of playing in Linux? :D
Select the bottle where the game is installed, go to the Advanced tab and check the option to disable Performance Enhanced Graphics. Once in the game, depending on what system you have, you can mess with various settings like shadows and whatnot if required. I did not need to do anything on mine, even with my old GTX 260. I now use a GTX660.
There is a trick for those using nvidia cards. The driver enables vsync by default. This needs to be disabled in nvidia-settings and enabled on a per applications basis. I've no idea why nvidia decided to have vsync enabled by default :/
Looking back at the Tips and Tricks, I have a i7 - 3770K ... you suggest setting the affinity to one or two cores to take care of the stuttering?
There should be no need to do that anymore. Some of those tips are obsolete.

Would that be Sync to VBlank in the X Server Settings? I am not finding a Vsync option in my settings.
Yes, that's the one.
Hey, thanks for all your help. The VBlank didn't seem to make a difference and neither did turning off the enhanced graphics. What really made a difference was turning on VSync in the game. I pegged the framerate at a steady 60 but got rid of the stuttering for the most part. Disabling the enhanced graphics setting in Crossover reduced my frame rate down to 40 with stuttering if the VSync was turned off in game. Thanks for all your help.
1) As a note I did not have a $HOME/cxoffice/bin/cxrun I had to use /opt/cxoffice/bin/cxrun insteadl
2) Can we include this as part of the one click install so other players wont have to do this by hand next time? The whole point is to make gaming on Linux easy right? :)
BOTTLE="Diablo_III"
setarch i386 -3 -L -B -R /opt/cxoffice/bin/cxrun --bottle "$BOTTLE" "$HOME/.cxoffice/$BOTTLE/drive_c/Program Files/Battle.net/Battle.net Launcher.exe"

The right way is for the developers to fix the bug... or add a kludge to wine for cases like this one. I don't know where things are on this since this bug report has gone stale:
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=30849
No, you can't add that as part of the one click install.
My advice, write a polite and serious ticket... the more voices we have the sooner this gets solved, one way (bug fix) or another (kludge patch)
