Hi...
..you provide no information about your OS, which video card
you have, what version of crossover games you're using - you're
not exactly helping anyone to help you... =)
"Had to install the game in a VM and copy over the gamefiles.
-winetricks vcrun2005 vcrun2008 winhttp"
citing: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.php?sClass=version&iId=24525
...the 'vcrun' dependencies you can find in the 'Runtime Support
Components' area of the cxinstaller GUI (Microsoft Visual C++
Redistributable 2005/2008) ; the winhttp dll you'll need to do
manually (provide the native version + winelib override)...
...that, won't get around the (alleged) need to install the game
with a 'real' Windows installation & then copy the files across.
If that were possible, you would need to gather a debuglog of
the installer execution (use 'Run Command' instead of 'Install
Software') as outlined on the following page...
http://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/mac/mactutorial/submittechsupportlog
...if you get that logfile together, upload it to a free public
repo (pastebin, google, whatever) and post the download URL back
here so we can see what's going on with the installer)...
Cheers!
Linux User - Gentoo 64 - Nvidia Card.
Tested and can't get installer to work.
But manage to play it through wine after installed it with a VM, under closed beta around september 2011.
Was not crossover owner at that time :p
I'll give you my feedback just after the release (15th of may).
i installed it with wine and have been running diablo3 and pandaria with wine1.5 and the 2 patches 0001-GetExtendedTcpTable.patch and 0001-AcceptEX-patch.patch from winehq.
i know its not exactly crossover but you can compile it youself. you got 2 days to do it :P
How well does it run and what are your machine's specs?
I'll give more information at 0h00 CEST, for the moment what i can just tell, blizzard installer failed both with wine (1.5.4) compiled from gentoo's package, and crossover while checking file.
Crossover tell me that agent.exe could not be launched.
My machine is quite powerfull (I7-2600K, 8Go RAM, Nvidia Geforce 560 TI.)
I'll report you, how well it runs as soon as i can.
But when it was the beta, i manage to play at full detail (1680x1050) smoothly.

Did you use our unsupported build? That is specifically made and ready to go for CrossOver.
