Diablo II Forum

Diablo II is one of the best games I have, but I can't play it with CrossOver 6.1.
I always get this error message:
"Halt
Location : , line #xxxx
Expression : Unrecoverable internal error xxxxxxxx"
and the game quits.

The game:

• installed as described in the howto
• version 1.11b
• nocd patch
• installed plugy mod 7.01B

The bottle:

• winver Win2000/XP (both tested)
• sound: ALSA, 44100kHz, 16bit, full acceleration
• graphics: virtual desktop 800x600, use pixel shaders, use hardware vertex shaders, windows controlled by window manager

The system:

• Fedora 7 i686
• kernel 2.6.21
• ATi Mobility Radeon (driver from rpm.livna.org, testing repo, used xorg server downgrade to get driver working)
• Intel Core 2 Duo

I'm using straight nvidia, amd64, and P4. I'm also on Fedora7, and using 6.1. I have been playing a long time, and the only crash I ever see is when the server kicks you the client locks up sometimes. My guess would be, my problem is a bug in alsa. Alsa itself has issues of locking up other applications.

My guess for you? You're appying mods&patches to D2, and getting instability. You're also on newer hardware than mine.
