Dear Jason,
The maphack is an unsupported app by Battle.net and is also unrelevant to compatibility of Diablo II itself.
Still, if you want to run it it should just run if doubleclicking on it. Else try your right-mouse-button menu to call the app with CrossOver office (Open With).
If that also doesn't work just run CrossOver app and select "Run Command" from your Programs menu. Now navigate your Path to the executable. If it doesn't do anything then it seems it's missing some DLL's of some kind to start.
My regards,
Erwin
Thanks Erwin i don't even use b.net just playing on single player......its seems to start opening up then die...but the DLL's are there do need to have them in their own folder??
I am not sure if that is required. I never used the maphack tool myself. Maybe the Readme file says more about required files and where to put them.
I once read that some hacks/mods need registry edits or adjusted MQP files.
Jason, have you tried using the Run Command dialog, accessible in the Programs menu? In that dialog, select the bottle and then Browse to the .exe file, then click Run.
Cheers. 😊
