Installed D2 just fine but then need to install LOD, or do I ? anyway, do I just install LOD anywhere or what ? because the game is asking me where to install LOD and I dont know where to direct it.

You don't need to install the expansion. But of course if you want to play the expansion, you need to install it. Just use the D2:LOD installer in the same bottle in which you installed vanilla D2.
