Diablo 2 CD Swap?

I've been trying to install the game and when it asks my to initially swap install discs (from Install to the Play Disc) the installer doesn't detect the other disc, though OSX does. How did anyone else do a successful CD install?

This is happening because CrossOver mounts each piece of media to a new drive letter. This is by design.

There are ways to workaround it...

  1. put all of the files from all of the installer disks in one big folder on your desktop.
  2. register your CDKeys at Battle.net and get the downloadable version (I think you can even get the Mac version)
  3. create a folder on your Mac and then mount each CD to that folder so when it is time to change the disk you would unmount the first disk and mount the second
  4. go through Wine Configuration and map the drive letter to the first cd, then to the second cd, etc

Those are my immediate thoughts. Good luck!

The Mac version is PPC only and won't run on > Snow Leopard (10.6) :(

Yeah. it's about time CodeWeavers included the magic crystal balls in their and our arsenal of troubleshooting tools.

I agree and I'd like one for general support (not just Codeweaver) :)

Sorry about that! Why did I think they'd updated it... must have been something else, my apologies.

I remember Blizzards last announcement made me believe they upgraded it but that was wishful thinking on my part
