From the Battle Net client, I can't update or play D2R anymore (Jan 13/Jan 14) update.

Since January 13 or January 14, there has been a Diablo II Resurrected update as regularly.
This time however I am no longer able to update and thus can't play the game anymore.

I thought this could have a problem with my installation, that's why I have created another bottle and installed the game from zero.
The same result happened since after downloading the full game again, the latest update was not able to install with the following message:

Something went wrong with a file. We're not sure what caused it, so please try again or click the code below for more information. Sorry about that! Error Code: BLZBNTAGT00000840.

Some context about this:
I am using Mac M3 Max, Bottle Windows 10.

This is a known issue caused by a Battle.net update which is not compatible with Crossover. The Codeweavers team is already on it and a fix is expected soon. You can read more about this in these threads:

The second thread is about Diablo IV but the problem is the same: It's related to the Battle.net application, not the two games themselves.

Meredith from Codeweavers has responded in both threads.

If you read the second thread, the one about Diablo IV, you will find a workaround that might allow you to play while waiting for a proper fix from Codeweavers in the form of an update to Crossover.

This issue has been resolved with Crossover 24.0.7.
