15 sec freeze, every 15 sec

Hi, I couldn't find related issues so here is a new one.
I'm on a MacBook Pro 14" M2 Max with 32 GB of RAM. Installation process went fine, and Battle.net seems stable.
The game launches properly and seems to work fine at first, but:

  • From the menu onwards, a heavy 15 to 25 seconds freeze seem occurs approximately every 15 to 25 seconds. The gap between freezes and the duration of the freezes themselves seem to be the same. When the game runs properly, it seems pretty smooth so the issue doesn't seem related to the Mac's performances. During the freezes the music continues but everything video related is stuck and I don't hear game sounds (If an enemy is attacking during the freeze, I'll get no sound but all the damages are taken into account when the freeze stops).

  • I also get connectivity issues, like a sudden disconnection from the servers, that seem related the freezes.

Any help is welcome, thanks!

Look at your bottle's ADVANCED SETTINGS. Which are enabled and which are disabled?

Thanks for your reply. Everything is unchecked in the advanced settings.
I tried with the DXVK on, but it performed the same.

Since you have a Mac with an Apple CPU, you should have D3DMetal enabled and everything else disabled. That should have been set up for you if you used the Crosstie to install D2R.

Thanks for the advice. Unfortunately activating D3DMetal creates another issue: after clicking on "play" on Battle.net the "Diablo II: Resurrected" the frame of the window appears (or at least the top bar) but the screen doesn't launch and only the top bar remain visible. I know that the game window is there even though I see my other apps through it because I can't interact with what's behind, but the game never starts.
It's still working as before with D3DMetal off, and with or without DXVK on.

I'm sorry that did not resolve your problem.

It might be best to submit a help ticket now:
