Diablo II: Resurrected Forum

I successfully ran D2R with Crossover for over month. Today, on december 1 2023, looks like battle net app updated and since then it is not starting and crashes. I tried to "simulate reboot". I tried to restart host machine. I tried to completely delete my D2R bottle and install it from scratch, but got same result.

Steps to reproduce:
1- run "Diablo 2 Ressurected"

What is happening:
1- Battle.net app shows up
2- Wide Debugger window and Program Error shows up
3- in dock gear icon for conhost.exe shows up
4- in dock gear icon for widedbg.exe shows up

Macbook Pro 16 M1Max 2021
macOS Sonoma 14.1.1
Crossover 23.7 (23.7.0.36567)

Any ideas how to fix it?

Meredith provides a short-term workaround and the next update to Crossover will include a permanent fix for this issue.

Sorry, I have a unrelated question. How do I install Crossover on my computer? Can you guide me?
