No sound - Diablo 2 LoD using Big Sur

I have installed Diablo 2 and Diablo 2 LoD using Crossover 20. Game runs smoothly apart from the fact that there is no sound.

Previous posts on this forum recommended a regedit and installing this key:
[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\DirectSound]
"HardwareAcceleration"="Emulation"

However, more recent posts say that the above method is no longer current and I can confirm that this didn't work.

Would greatly appreciate any help as I'm stuck :)
