GOG.com version in CXG 8 on Mac OS X 10.6.1 - graphical problems

After meticulously following the steps to get it to run in Windowed mode, I find that the game's graphics are totally screwed up on my machine (2.16 Ghz Core 2 Duo MacBook with 128 MB ATI Radeon Mobility X1600). Essentially, everything is rendered as translucent blue boxes; it's as if the game models are being rendered, but the textures aren't being drawn. Does anyone have any suggestions on how I could fix this? Maybe there are some settings I need to tweak? I've kept all of the graphics settings at their defaults so far.

Being mindful of the fact that when I wrote the tips&tricks for the GOG version,
I was actually writing it from my >linux< stand-point....but I didn't actually
say that anywhere, did I?....so I thank 'rampancy' for obviating this oversight
on my part (which I'll fix directly..), but equally know their chosen avatar does
clearly say "I use Mac" just as my chosen avatar says "wine intoxicates penguins"...

I take it you tried both directx & opengl options as described in the tips? They
both work with linux/nvidia gf8, just that opengl is a lot smoother....but...I
have been around this place long enough to know your ATI Radeon Mobility X1600
can be a problematic beastie here, so really...a Mac person needs to help you
here...or...you could search through the forum support database for X1600 and see
if any of the workarounds for other games work here too..

Seems like a relevant thread to read.

Same Here, everything is blue with no textures on DirectX, on Open Gl it just show the first scene for a second and then it crashes... Im Using the (lame and useless card) Intel GMA950, so i don't think the your card is the problem...

Hmmm....interesting....it must be some Macentric thing, and it's good to know it's
not only the x1600 but also the gma950...

As I've said above, being a linux person I've no experience with Macs -- the only
thing that does pop into my mind, is that with linux you don't need install any
directx runtime with the GOG version of this title -- have either of you tried
installing directx into the same bottle and then giving the directx selection
a try again?...

I don't think this problem is just for Snow Leopard. I've had the same problem ever since Tiger and Crossover 7.2. Installing DirectX into the bottle never did anything for me. My Mac's a 2.16 GHz Intel Core Duo with NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT 128MB.

Okay....a bit more history, that's good know....

I'm leaning towards saying that one of you Mac users (or all of you ;)
that are having this trouble, should lodge a support ticket on this issue.
Alternately, email info@codeweavers.com explaining the issue and be sure
to reference this thread for background info.
