Things I've noticed so far

So, today Dead island Riptide got released, and since i can't use my new 27" iMac yet as a screen for my windows desktop, i went ahead and tried to run it on the iMac via crossover. Steam downloaded it just fine, and it starts up and runs without issues it seems. Cut scenes seem to play just fine, no issues with them at all as far as I can tell, but after the cut scenes, you end up within the boat and the character models seem to be almost completely black within that quick moment you see it before it goes to First Person view. So far these are the issues I've run into at the moment.

  • Flashlight does not work / Gamma setting doesn't work correctly?
  • After first cut scenes, and waking up in the boat, character model seems to be very black.
  • Fog textures seem to be a little wonky.. sometimes a haze will show up on screen that isn't like a cloud of smoke while in the boat, and i swear while running around in the boat i could see what looked like outlines of Palm trees (Maybe Dead Island Logo?) for the few seconds that haze it affecting the character

Any suggestions for these? The game installs and runs just fine without any issues, which seemed too good to be true.

Okay this is cool, with the new update to Crossover and the support to the gamma driver, gamma adjustments work and shows in the game, but the flashlight issue is still around, and I haven't checked the character model yet either inside the boat, but maybe its back to normal.

Hi!
I also would like to run Dead Island Riptide on my Mac, but have a question. Did you install the program using Steam? If so, what were the steps that you took to bottle it properly? I am having a really difficult time figuring this out and would appreciate any help!
