I've been fighting with this one for a while. Something must have changed in Ubuntu because now the sound of a price alert does not work. From my fiddling around, it is related to pcm mixer issue. The sound goes through the system speaker on my desktop in windows, but not on my laptop. I've found different suggestions on the web, but none solved the problem. If anyone happens to read this and has a suggestion.
Up to now, I've been using wine directly to debug this, as I'm having trouble launching from cxoffice if I ask a debug report.
