Tried installing, tried usig cross tie nothing works.

Can someone help me get this working? I have tried making a custom bottle and tried using the crosstie and i get the same result... I get it installed try to launch the launcher flashes a black box then force closes...

Im using ubuntu 11.10
Crossover 10
Latest Nvidia Drivers
Intel I7
16GBs of ram
1TB HDD
GTX 260 Video Card

I dont see my hardware being the problem..

I have been having the same problem and if you have figure out the problem please let me know. If anyone else knows the problem help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you use the steps from the entry in Tips & Tricks (http://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/browse/name/?app_id=8408;tips=1)? If so, to run the launcher go to http://launch.soe.com/lp3/index.html?skin=dcuo&game=dcuo-live in ie6 (that was installed in your DCUO bottle).

I get the patcher to work, but the main game won't start when I press play. The "Play" button just changes to "Playing" for a little while, then changes back to "Play".

I am having the same problem Jonas is. Please help?

Do you have only ie6 installed?

I have the same on a Mac.

It says 'Playing' then goes back to 'Play'

I have the same problem on my Macbook Pro 17" running OS X 10.8.2. Here's what's in my bottle:

Crossover HTML engine
DC Universe Online Live
DirectX 9
Flash 10 ActiveX Control
Flash Player for Internet Explorer (ActiveX)
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
Microsoft Visual C++ 2008 Redistributable

These were all installed by selecting the game from "unsupported software" in the main crossover setup window. DCUO was a choice, and this was what got installed, other than the .NET framework. I installed that because an error message came up saying to install it.

In addition to what the current CrossTie installs, if you install the Microsoft DirectX Runtime - Modern, the game will actually launch. However, from there all I get is a black screen. Not sure where to go from there.

(Crossover 11.3, Mac OS X 10.7.5)

Hi all. I got this up and running using crossover version 12.1. Download the DCUO client using torrent not the direct one and install using that installer. Everything went well, the client patched it self and i logged into the game. Now my issue is i can't get my mouse to move. So I can't seem to fully log into the game only stuck on character screen. I'm running a Dell Inspiron n5110 core i3 with intel graphics. Using Kubuntu 12.04. If anyone knows how to get the mouse to work, I'll be able to test if I'm able to fully log into the game.

Same here, I was able to install the game but when the game starts the mouse freezes up and doesn't move. Has anyone found a work around this yet?

I am trying to run DCUO on my mac and when I try to open it the screen just goes black but i can still see the menu bars at the top and bottom. I have tried emulating on a virtual desktop but the game still goes full screen after the launcher and I tried changing the registry keys. Right after I click play I hear a feedback noise and the it goes black and it shows me a little blue textbox on the side that says

DC Universe
Online
[Stage.291074]

any ideas?

I have found DCUO does not run on any version of Mac OS X above 10.6. In my tests I get the exact same results as you in 10.7.x and 10.8.x. In 10.6 it runs fine on nVidia cards, with ATI cards i get rendering issues.

Tested on various versions of crossover.

You need the xact audio library installed. You can install it by installing the "DirectX 9 - Modern" distribution.
