Explosion game slowdown

Every time there is an explosion from a grenade in the game it hangs for like 5 seconds and I can't move, next thing I know I am dead. This happens whether the graphics are low or not.

I am experiencing the same issue.

In playing around with the latest Unsupported build "crossover-games-demo-7.0.080415-unstripped.dmg" this doesn't seem to be affecting me.
So hopefully in the next supported release this problem is remedied.

Any workarounds until then?

We shipped CrossOver Games 7.1 about a week ago

Yup. 7.0 doesn't seem to have this issue.
Throwing a grenade at my feat in 7.1 causes a strong lock up and delay.
Doing so in 7.0 does not cause this issue.

Which graphics card do you have?

MacBook Pro 15"
Intel Core Duo 2 GHz
2 GB

RadeonX1600:
Bus: PCIe
PCIe Lane Width: x16
VRAM (Total): 128 MB

Are you running tiger or leopard?

Leopard 10.5.4

Same thing happens with me on a iMac with Radeon 2600XT. Game runs very well at native resolution of 1600x1050 but explosions and smoke cause a major delay.

Maybe this is caused by frame buffer readback.

If the driver for that card is OK, setting this registry key might help:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Direct3D/OffscreenRenderingMode = "fbo"

It is a string value, create it if it doesn't exist.

Explosion and smoke slowdown is still experienced in version 8.0. Running leopard (10.5.8) on iMac 24" with 2600 PRO. Game runs perfect while using bootcamp (windows XP).
Only smoke and explosions make this game completly unplayable with crossover game. Please fix :)
