I am having the exact same issue on Ubuntu 13.04. I tried to create a debugging log and it just creates the log file and does not log anything.

Same here on OS X 10.8.4 with CrossOver 12.5 :/

Edit: now it works!
In 12.5.0 in your bottle, go to advanced an check 'Legacy X Window System' that works for me.
