The game is lagging every 2 a 3 seconds

Hello,

I tried the game on 2 distro's OpenSuse and Kubuntu.
Both are giving me a kind of choppy moment every 3 seconds.

Is there a solution for this?
Tried also two systems: Nnvidia and AMD.
AA is disabled and even with 35% draw distance it isn't any better.

Thanks in advance!

Regards,

Rob

Have you tried turning down the FPS setting in-game?

Yup... still lagging. even at 30 fps min...

Unfortunately Cube World does have some lag (even on Windows). It is still in Alpha. The best thing you can do right now is play with your settings a bit both in-game and with your drivers. Both AMD and Nvida on Linux have many settings that can be tweaked these days.

You can also set Cube World's bottle to emulate a virtual desktop.

I have OS X and Ubuntu and I have noticed that the lagging like this does not happen on mac (or is at least much less obvious and frequent) like it does on Ubuntu. I have tried running it in OS X using X11 and the native mac driver and both yield similar results (although I think I get slightly better performance with the native driver). I have tested this with identical setting on both operating systems. Maybe something is different between the way crossover works on macs and on linux that causes this result.
