No run

I updated to 12.2.2 and I can't still run the Cube world (not demo).

Logs:

** Mon Jul 22 22:38:50 2013
Starting '/opt/cxoffice/bin/wineloader' 'winewrapper.exe' '--workdir' '/home/krzy100f/.cxoffice/Cube World/dosdevices/c:/Program Files/Cube World' '--start' '--'
'/home/krzy100f/.cxoffice/Cube World/dosdevices/../drive_c/Program Files/Cube World/CubeLauncher.exe'

fixme:exec:SHELL_execute flags ignored: 0x00000100

I installed by Cube World.tie .

I tried it on Ubuntu 12.04 64bit like in the screenshoots.

I installed DirectX 9 and now it runs. But not always =.=.

How?

Try by this:

When you have only one bottle you have to create one more bottle (empty bottle).
Now go to game folder and click right mouse on the icon and open by crossover (DONT ISNTALL).
Now you should see window with information about bottles and aplication which you want to run(location where it is).
Simply confirm.

Rememeber you can't have selected default bottle in the crossover setting.

What does it do when it fails to run? Do you get an error message?

You can submit a support ticket if you like. We're curious to know in what circumstances it fails (it is working for us in-house, but several people are reporting failure).

There are logs you can take which might help us figure out the problem, if it turns out to be solvable.

Can you tell us what GPU and drivers you are using?

NVIDIA GeForce GT 430 1GB
AMD Phenom(tm) II X6 1075T Processor × 6 (6x3.0)
8GB RAM

Okay, let's try this another way. Can open a Support Ticket (email ninjas@codeweavers.com) with the above information and output of:

/opt/cxoffice/bin/cxdiag --debug &> ~/Desktop/cubeworldcxdiag.txt
glxinfo &> ~/Desktop/cubeworldglxinfo.txt
lspci &> ~/Desktop/cubeworldlspci.txt

As attachments (don't cut and paste the information into the email). Please also include your Linux distribution, version, 32 or 64bit and window manager. For example, mine is:

Ubuntu 12.04
64bit
Unity
AMD 5750
fglrx 11.2

Then we can dive deeper into what you're seeing.

I use Ubuntu 12.04 Unity 64bit :>/

I think... and this answer isn't as clear... but it seems like you've symlinked in the 64bit version of libgsm?

libgsm.so.1: wrong ELF class: ELFCLASS64

[MissingLibGsm]
"Level"="Suggest"
"Title"="Missing 32bit libgsm.so.1 library"
"Description"="Lets Windows applications use the GSM codec for audio compression and decompression."

That could be preventing the game from starting... nope, that's on my system too.

The other logs look fine as well. We've tried on a 64bit Ubuntu 12.04 system with an Nvidia 460 GTX and the game works.

  • my system is AMD but I have access to a few Nvidia systems and was hoping there was a subtle problem there, not so

So, let's backup.

Did all of the components successfully install for you?

If yes, can you gather a log file of launching Cube World, no flags?

Note that it takes a long time for Cube World to start on my end. Also note, this line:

fixme:exec:SHELL_execute flags ignored: 0x00000100

Is a red herring. I get it too. I need to see what happens after that that could be preventing the game from starting.
