Preamble: I bought the game as part of the CSI: Crime Scene Investigation Super Pack. It is the first four CSI games package together in one package. Each game is on a separate disc, so the games may not differ at all from the original versions.

I had the same result as the advocate running Crossover Games 10.1. Once installed it runs cleanly and smoothly. Certainly rates a gold in my book.
My machine is Mac Pro 2010 Model, Quad, with 6GB Ram, running on OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.7
Installed in an XP bottle with DirectX 9 and Core Fonts.
