Hey there,

I was thrilled that i would be able to play counter-strike on my mac since switching from pc a few years back however not everything worked as well as i had hoped.

If i put an autoexec.cfg in the cstrike folder within the bottle counter-strike crashes and hangs indefinately. If i put in a file called x.cfg and try executing it from the console it also triggers a crash/hang.

I know this isn't a crucial feature but seeing as we are 2 and sometimes 3 people all playing with different settings and binds it would make everything that much easier if we could have our own config files etc.

it works for me. what is your script? could it be because of some line endings....... like if you just transfered it over from windows to mac?

i don't think so, i made a copy of the existing one, and changed the settings that i wanted as well as added a few settings not in the standard config such as setinfo _vgui_menus 0 and some others.

what i did was open c: drive in bottle advanced preferences and dropped it in where it usually goes. could you email me your cfg? so i can try it out, if it works i can cross examine them and see what setting might be causing the crash :)

if I understand what you just said you copied the config from a windows machine which means windows line endings. Open it with a text editor and highlight everything ten goto tools/edit->Line Endings->Standard Line Endings for your OS
