So I've got cs 1.6 installed, it's running beautifully and smoothly and i have been using it for quite some time now, my problem is now that I've got cs running perfectly i want to play with a normal mouse, not the touch pad, but when i change the mouse sensitivity on the game, no change takes effect.

although, when i use my touch pad mouse the sensitivity change is clearly taking effect. Is it possible to change the mouse sensitivity in the "Bottle"? or is there a way to make this work in the game?

Huh, that seems strange. For CrossOver there's no difference between your touchpad and the USB mouse. We just get the general pointer information from MacOS. We don't even know you have two input devices. Consequently there is no way to change this behavior in the bottle. We just forward the mac mouse position 1:1 to the game, and its up to the game to use it.

I have heard about strange issues with the Logitch Mac drivers however. Maybe they install some input hook which does not work correctly in CrossOver. A while ago the Logitech Control Center crashed crossover and many other Mac apps. Nowadays the LCC doesn't cause crashes any more, but I don't know if it fully works either.

So should i install the logitech control center (if that's even a program)..

I didn't install any software to use the mouse, just plug and play, Tonight i am going to try setting the touchpad to turn off when a usb mouse is plugged in and see if that doesn't resolve the problem

Hmm no, you shouldn't have to install anything. Just plugin the mouse and it should be fine...
