Counter-Strike Forum

Hello,

Im new here. I was used to Wine under Linux and tested most of the application out there.

Since I recently switched to Mac (I won't go back! :) I'm trying Crossover Office. It runs great.

Counter-Strike has only a weirds problem : every ~2min, I get 1 sec of "freeze" or "lag". Very annoying when playing.

I was wondering if some of you got the same problem, and if yes, did they find a workaround?

I got a MacBook Pro, Intel Core 2 Duo 2.33 GHz, 2 Go of Memory and Mac OS X 10.4.8.

The other option is to run Counter-Strike in a virtual desktop window. In the Manage Bottles window, you can launch the winecfg control panel for the bottle with Counter-Strike in it. On winecfg's Graphics tab, there's a checkbox to enable emulation of a virtual desktop in a window, and you can set the window's initial size. After you OK winecfg, any programs you launch in that bottle will live in a virtual desktop window.
