Video Stress Test Issues

Is anybody else experiencing walls lagging behind in the rendering and covering up other objects during the video stress test? It looks similar to no clipping.

I haven't noticed that, and I just reran the test to double-check. (Snow Leopard and Nvidia GeForce 8800 GT)

What version of Mac OS X are you running? What kind of GPU do you have? Do the in-game video settings affect what you're seeing and, if so, which? Experiment with the useGLSL registry setting (search the forums if you're unfamiliar with it); does the problem go away with that set to either "enabled" or "disabled"?

Doesn't happen with my 8800GT under Linux, either.

I am using Mac OS X 10.5.6, with an Nvidia 120 as my video card. I have experimented with all the different graphics settings, and this problem always reoccurs. It doesn't happen at all during regular game play, just during the video stress test. I will experiment with useGLSL, and I am getting Snow Leopard shortly, so I will see how that affects things as well.

It is also happening now that I've upgraded to Snow Leopard.

UseGLSL didn't make any difference on or off for this issue.

Enabling and Disabling useGLSL did not help at all.

most likely it is your graphics card because I ran the video stress test on a nividia geforce 9400m nd 9600m gt and never had that happen and even got 86 frames per second most of the time.

It started happening after a certain release of crossover, not for the several I used before it. I figure its an incompatibility with the drivers, since after I upgraded to Snow Leopard it got even worse by rendering about 30 fps slower. If I knew anyone with a Geforce 120 I could compare, and my second computer is in a different city so I can't check that for a few weeks.

My video stress test ran just fine, but i got something like 37fps under medium-high graphics and on widescreen apsect ratio 16:10 at full resolution. I did notice this on other games as well, keeping the game running under normal aspect ratio (4:3) will make the game run ever so smoothly, Zombie Panic Source is a great example for me as it used to crash everytime i enter a server, but after putting it in 4:3 screen ratio, 0 problems. However CS Source never crashed for me it was just the jerky frame rates, but that small change made a great impact.

yes i did notice that, but after doing what i tried in the above, u shouldn't have any issues.

Unfortunately the video stress test issues continued even after I tried switching to 4:3. I don't this is anything wrong with my settings because these issues came with the most recent few releases, and did not occur at all before.

I have tried setting HKEY_CURRENT_USER/Software/Wine/Direct3D/UseGLSL to enabled, as well as disabled. Neither one of these had an impact on the visual distortions. There were small differences in frame rates between tests, but I do not think these were large enough to be of statistical significance.

I did some more testing, and found that the only variable is when resolution is at a 4:3 ratio resolution greater than 1024 x 768, or any 16:9 ratio resolution the problem will occur, otherwise it will not. I will submit a support ticket for this.
