okay...i am at a total lost
I reinstalled steam ...Reinstalled css in a new bottle
I pressed lunch game and no response...I ran steam in terminal...
And it gave no error messages..i turned off compiz ... i turned off emerald
And still i get no response...help will is appreciated...Oh yea launch comments are no vid and dxlevel 80
i use ubuntu 8.04
core 2 duo 2.4ghz
1 gig ram
Nvdia 8400GS
250gig harddrive
When you ran Steam from the shell, what options did you specify on the command line? Any console output is hidden unless you specifically request it.
You can try: /opt/cxgames/bin/wine --bottle <bottle name> --cx-log /tmp/steam.log --cx-app steam
(If you installed CrossOver Games in your user account, use ~ instead of /opt.)
