MacBook graphics question

Running CS:S on my macbook, and I am trying to tune all the settings so it is playable. I have added all the console commands and launch options that the 'Tips & Tricks' section of this site have to offer, and I wanted to add that file autoexec.cfg but I dont know how to do that. I found the folder that this tip says to put the file into, but I don't know how to create a file in order to add that code. If anyone can help me, I think I'm real close to configuring a playable CS:S environment.
Thanks,
Trevor

You can use TextEdit, but you have to be careful that it's configured to create a plain text file.

Perhaps using the version of Notepad that comes with CrossOver is more reliable. You can launch it using the Run Command dialog and just typing "notepad" as the command. Notepad may insist on adding a ".txt" extension to the file. If so, you can rename the file in the Finder.
