It has been a very long time since i last used my mic for CSS (about a few months) but it was always working fine. Today when I plugged it in and got into a server, it wouldn't work. I tried all the tests and trouble-shooting that Steam asks you to, but no matter what I can't get it to work. I have go into options, and then voice to make sure it is on, and it is. Can any1 suggest ways to fix this problem so I can talk again? Btw I have a plantronics headset.
I suppose you have read the other topics in the forum and you have already tried to change the sample rate ?
It seems that the (some/all ?) Mac can't handle the default sample rate of 8000 Hz. Trying to change to other values could help ?
How can you change the sample rate on mac?
