Hi, i am having a few problems. i purchased the regular version of cross over because it said that css is supported but when i put in the first cd of css it said it is an un-supported app. yes it kept installing in another window. and then when steam was installed i tried running css and the screen goes black and i can't x out of it. can someone please help me??

What Are you using..Mac ? Linux?
If you are using linux
Check for a few things : If compiz fusion is enabled....If it is..disable it
And check if you have direct rendendering by typing glxinfo in terminal
Check if you have xgl .. Xgl doesnt allow wine , Crossover or cedega to access direct rendering
Check if you have the latest graphic card driver
And check if your graphic card supports CSS...Some graphic cards from intel are known not to work with certain games

If you are using Macintosh...
Tell which version you are using

Also, we only support CS:S via Steam. You can use your CD key to enable the game through Steam without having to repurchase it.

hello im on a mac os x and i have CrossOver Games Mac 7.2.0 installed to play couterstrike source on it. its logging into steam but when i open css it just goes black but i can click the buttons for server and exit and whatever.

thought i should add it worked with your previous programs just fine but when it updated it stopped working. and whats up with the wine little box that i cant close? steam or crossover?

May i know what is your graphic card?

i fixed it.added -dxlevel 70 -width 1024 -height 768 in the css launch options and it works great
