Command & Conquer: Renegade Forum

I installed Renegade with no errors, but when I try to launch it, it says that a debugger was detected and to remove it. Anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like DRM and/or CD/DVD disk check failing...

Which version do you use? First Decade version should runout of the box. 2 cd version needs a ....fix ;)
Note: You need the newest patch too, other wise you get every time a crash to desktop!

Please, do NOT mis-quote me -- I said the fault was likely indicative of
a DRM or CD?DVD check failure -- [b]I said nothing about replacing anything, and I
said nothing about any exe files[/b].

I'll try updating the program, I've been busy these last few days with Christmas and all. Thanks for the tips. Also, if an application only runs with a fix, do we still rate it gold?

What do you mean by first decade? The game has only been out 7 years, and I think I have the earliest version.

Edit: Oh that's the name of a collection, never mind that last part of my comment.

Hi Samuel,

I do ;) The FD collection has the game already updated to the latest version out of the box, so i haven't problems at all, there no cd check on that version either.
If you run into trouble let me know.

Other than after the initial installation, every time I try to launch the game, or run the updater I get a message that it has run into an error and needs to close. I haven't even had an opportunity to require a fix since my first post. I'm going to reinstall it, and see what happens from there.

Edit: I've also tried externally downloading the latest update and applying that, with no success.
