Command & Conquer: Red Alert 3 Forum

I am using a Macbook Pro, the install went good and I went to go run the game. The initial Red Alert 3 picture showed up,

however I get a Error that says, "There seems to be a problem contacting the license server. Ensure your internet connection is active and try again in a few minutes."

I did some searching and this seems to be a problem with some mac users when it comes to the game spore are having, some users found a solution by going to terminal and then sudo nano hosts and deleting a line from that, however that line doesn't show up in my terminal, possibly because of installing via crossover. Or perhaps its just a EA + Mac issue, anyway does anyone have any ideas?

I have tried reinstalling, rebooting, the whole typical generic fixes thing.

I made the local host entry in my hosts file, but am still getting the license server connection error when starting RA3.

Dunno WINE users got it to work, try a reboot.

I looked in the tips & Tricks, didn't see anything about license server. I've had this problem too if anyone has the explanation....
