Will not run - Freezes at splash screen

This game freezes at the splash screen. Anyone else get past this?

Thanks in advance!

Have you followed the instructions on the Command & Conquer 3 compatibility forums? The game engine is the same I believe...

I haven't even gotten that far -- either their servers are temporarily down or I've got something improperly configured. I can't download the patch or connect to the servers to register my game! Any thoughts, anyone?

You need to use the no-cd crack, but then i have the following message:

DirectX Error
Please make sure you have DirectX 9.0 or higher installed. Also verify that your video card meets the minimum requirements, and that you do not have hardware acceleration disabled in the Display control Panel.

This was tested on my MacBook Air, but the game runs in bootcamp so my videocard should be sufficient.

Macbook Air might not be able to run the game, the video card ain't the best.
Check the Tip & Tricks section I added a post.

So it works for you now? Without any directx error?
Did you copy any special files except for the nocd crack?

As soon as the splash screen comes up i get the error, so the hosts file trick wont help me.

It runs at a solid 30fps in bootcamp so it should atleast start right?

I haven't tried Red Alert 3 yet (still in mail) but the directX error is because directX 9 doesn't work in Crossover on macs.

FIX SEE OTHER POST!

The same thing is happening to me. I have an 2008 iMac, im running cross over to play counter strike, now I want to play RA3 which i bought and that msg comes up..does anyone know how to get past this.....If directx 9 doesnt work with crossover then why are we paying for something that doesnt work?

ok i got it to work. Installed and got past the splash screen. But when any movie or menu comes up, there is no visual. only sound and a black screen.
Regarding the directx 9 issue, check the support area of crossover games to see if you havnt done one of those steps.
