I got C&C 3 Tiberium to load fine under an XP bottle, but when the game starts and it asks for a name the keyboard and mouse are not present, can't enter a name in to the system, nor do I see the mouse. Any suggestions?

I've got the same problem.
So: PLEASE - fix it.
I have this problem too.
Running CrossOver Games 7.1.1. Have successfully installed the game, the 1.09 upgrade patch,
The Digital Rights Management (DRM) software in this program
prevents it from running in CrossOver. If you are in a legal jurisdiction
which allows removal of such software, you may have luck running this
program. Unfortunately, CodeWeavers, because they are subject to the
Digital Millennium Copyright Act, will be unable to support you.
, installed the other dll's the Tips & Tricks page advises in the app directory. Sure enough the game seems to run up just fine, and I get to a screen inviting me to enter my name, whereupon the keyboard (and mouse) don't function.
Frustrating this, since it appears from the comments here that it used to work with an older version of CrossOver.
I can confirm the same problem, both with the game starting full screen and also with the -win parameter (windowed mode). Have tried all the tips and tricks but can't get anything to work
OK - an update and some more info...
First version of CrossOver Games I'd tried was 7.1.0, which I'd downloaded last weekend. I followed the installation instructions in the Tips & Tricks. On start-up the game would, after the splash screen, go full screen and show a white screen for a while before displaying a short EA logo animation. That animation wasn't rendered correctly - it had some odd artefacts. It would then continue as described above - i.e. no keyboard input working.
I then bought CrossOver Games, and downloaded 7.1.1. Everything was much the same as 7.1.1, with the exception that the EA logo animation worked correctly.
Since some folks had given C&C3 gold awards, I knew that it had worked in the past. I therefore went and downloaded 7.0.0.
Under 7.0.0, the EA logo animation renders correctly, and keyboard input works for the "Enter name" box.
Having entered a name, if I run the game again under 7.1.1 I no longer see the "Enter name" box, but the mouse pointer is invisible. It seems that the mouse pointer problem is a known Wine bug from what I have read for this and several other games and that there are patches that will fix it. It has something to do with animated mouse pointers not being properly supported.
So if you want to play this game, download 7.0.0.
Hopefully the good folks at CodeWeavers will be able to work out what changed between 7.0.0 and 7.1.0 that broke the keyboard input, and incorporate the mouse pointer fixes for 7.1.2.
It seems I spoke slightly too soon...
7.0.0 does indeed run the game, however when I went to try the tutorial the playing field got rendered with a blue hue, and when moving around the field the entire field could go blue.
Under 7.1.1 the game runs, and the playing field gets rendered correctly, however since the mouse pointer is invisible the game is not playable. :(
My guess is that one of the hidden Direct3D settings may help get it to work properly under 7.0.0. If I manage to persuade it to work properly I'll let you know.
I tried futzing with all the Direct3D settings to no avail...
Last thing I tried was going to the display options inside the game itself and setting the "shader detail" in there to low. That did the trick! Yay!
So 7.0.0 is OK, so long as you set the right settings inside the game.
One remaining flaw whilst running under 7.0.0 is that the game doesn't want to quit properly. You get left with a black screen, and if you've set the in-game resolution to the same as your Mac desktop you'll be stuck there until you do Apple-Option-Escape to force-quit CrossOver Games. If you're running at a lower resolution than your desktop you can go to "Manage Bottles..." and force-quit the bottle from there. In 7.1.1 the game will quit just fine, if you can manage to get your invisible pointer over the quit option.
Thanks for all your hard investigative work. Just a small note: if a game crashes/hangs and you're stuck in full-screen mode, you should be able to force CrossOver Games out of that mode using the keyboard shortcut for the Restore Display (used to be Restore From Full-screen). In recent versions of CrossOver, the shortcut is Command-Option-R, but older versions used Command-Option-Shift-R. (The old shortcut actually still works in newer versions.)
The game starts but no keyboard or mouse works.
This way it's impossible to play the game.
I tried version 7.0.0 but it doesnt work on my macbook air, maybe something to do with drivers.
Can you please fix the problems in the new crossover games version?
can someone make some better directions or something cause i get the splash screen and thats it. im a little confused on where to put the files and stuff some screenshots of it would be really sweet
