FWIW, I am seeing this error in Silent Hunter 3 recently. I never had it AFAIK until I changed over to an ATI graphics card. Are you using the ATI drivers that came with 12.04? Or the community supported one? Or perhaps even the one you can download from AMD's website?

I am running Kubuntu 12.04, with the ATI driver that jockey installs.

I'm running Ubuntu 12.04 with ATI proprietary drivers installed via jockey. So it is the same setup basically.

We fixed some similar issues for CrossOver 11.1 which was released yesterday. I suggest giving that a try.
