I only try this on Mac, not sure about Linux.
Installation
- Install .NET 4.0 on a Windows 7 bottle
- Use the Run command in the bottle to install CloudBerry Explorer
- You will see a Activate Product window (to select a license type) and be stuck here, see below.
Activation
The reason you keep seeing the "Activation code is not specified" message is that you should enter a code here, but you can't see the message.
- Select Freeware, and click Next.
- Here you need to do trial-and-error a few times. Use Tab and Enter keys (e.g. Tab x 2 and then Enter; or Tab x 3 and then Enter) until you see the Offline Activation window.
- Follow the instruction at https://www.cloudberrylab.com/blog/offline-activation-for-cloudberry-backup-explorer-is-now-easier/
