I am using latest crossover games and installed steam, trough steam I installed Civ 5. Now to the problem i can't join any multiplayer games, i can use Steam overlay and search for mods ingame, but multiplayer always get me to "no connection".

This is my first try using crossover games and i really would like this to work.

When i use civ 5 under steam for mac the multiplayer works fine. no firewall no port forwarding it just works. But only agains mac players of course.

I am having multiplayer issues as well. The gam says something about joining room forever......
Is this a bug I should submit a ticket for, or have I just missed something obvious?

I installed Direct X 9 and got it working once, but now i can't connect again. I can't figure it out.

From what I've been able to tell from trying to play with a friend, a crossover version can only host a game and not join. When I rebooted in bootcamp, I was able to join his crossover-created game but he still couldn't join mine.

I had no issues - could join a game with a friend. I had them invite me directly through steam.
