Well, after updating even I can't get civ 5 to run.
I Downgraded nvidia drivers and I get a blue screen with music.
Nothing more.

Can you provide specifics about your configuration? I assume you're using Linux. Which distro? What GPU? Which graphics drivers have you tried?

Hi.
The screen is grey and I saw a mouse cursor with the civ 5 shape.
I'm using Ubuntu 10.0.4.2 LTS. 32 Bits.
I use the 256.35 nvidia drivers.
I have a nvidia 8600m GT, Core 2 Duo T7300, 4 GigaBytes of RAM.
At last I made it work.
I disabled Vsync in the file GraphicsSettingsDX9.ini
I disabled videos in UserSettings.ini
The files are in ~/.cxgames/windowsxp/drive_c/users/crossover/My Documents/My Games/Sid Meier's Civilization 5
In my other computers it isn't necessary to change it.
