Hi

I am using ATI Radeon HD5770 graphics and installed the three apps from CD in Codeweavers 9.1.

All applications installed fine and updated to the latest patches from Firaxis (http://www.firaxis.com/support/support_detail.php?gameid=6)

Civ 4 1.74
Warlords 2.13
Beyond the sword 3.19 (which is a no CD version)

However the game would not start until I followed the How to here.

Basicly, you need to copy these actual windows files to the wine windows/system32 directory in your civ bottle.

d3dx9_26.dll d3dx9_31.dll d3dx9_32.dll d3dx9_33.dll d3dx9_34.dll msxml3.dll msxml3r.dll

Also set overrides (native) for: msxml3.dll msxml3r.dll

I also had to emulate a "virtual desktop" in the wine configuration.

In game sound was set to "system configuration".

Crossover Games now works fine with the CD DRM for Civ 4 and warlords, though you do need to insert the original disks. Beyond the sword 3.19 runs without a cd inserted.

Rather than copying those DLLs, it should be sufficient to use CrossOver's built-in knowledge of how to download and install Microsoft's DirectX and XML Parser, listed under Runtime Support Components in our software installer window.
