Chessmaster 10th Edition Forum

This game doesn't work for me. I can install into a Win98 bottle (tried XP but that hangs). I first tried a full install but that failed because I couldn't get either Crossover or my Mac to release the CD so I could insert the second one.

A minimal install (game data only) works, because it only requires one CD. However, when I run the game I get the error message:

"A debugger has been detected. Unload the debugger and try again".

My installation setup:

Crossover 6.1.0
Macbook pro
Mac OS X 10.4.10

I tried disabling my Norton Auto-protect, but that doesn't help.

In Crossover Mac 6.2, the debugger error message does not appear, but the game still does not run.

Chessmaster 10 installation failed on a 1603 Error about one third of the way through the 1st install disk. Oh well. guess i will just have to install windows. Grrrrr.....
